For those of you who don’t know, its kind of a big deal. That tiny chunk of gold on your right ring finger means you are a part of something magnificent, something greater than yourself; The Aggie Family. Every tiny detail of that ring is symbolic, everything matters in some way. I shall include a picture so yall will understand a bit.

This is a huge honor, to have this ring. The Aggie Network stretches across the globe. Everywhere you go, someone always recognizes that little ring of gold. People who understand what the ring means will always respect you for it. This ring means you went to one of the most accredited universities in the world, and were brought up with a certain kind of respect, dignity, and commitment only found at Texas A&M.

So yes. This is a big deal to me. You may not understand why, you may say “it’s just a ring Julie”. But you would be wrong.

This is the most important piece of jewelry I will ever own, unless I get married. Then honestly I still think this ring will mean more to me than any wedding ring. 

In 114 days, I will be honored with hundreds of other Aggies as we receive our rings.  In 114 days, I officially become part of something bigger and better than myself.
